CAH CoPs – Credentialing and Privileging for Telemedicine Services

CMS has issued a proposed rule that would revise its conditions of participation for hospitals and CAHS to allow for a less burdensome credentialing and privileging process for physicians and practitioners providing telemedicine services. The rule is posted in the May 26 Federal Register--click here to view it. The CMS deadline for comments on the proposed rule is July 26, 2010.
