Free On-line Course - “Improving Appropriate Antibiotic Prescribing for Acute Respiratory Infections”

Users have touted the interactiveness of the course, stating it “made the learning exercise not only informative, but fun, too!” The 1-hour program is designed for primary care clinicians, nurses, pharmacists and their staff. Learning objectives are:
  • Describe four consequences of the overuse of antibiotics for acute respiratory infections
  • Apply the principles of appropriate antibiotic use for treatment of acute bronchitis, acute sinusitis, pharyngitis and acute otitis media
  • Develop practical strategies to adopt appropriate antibiotic use within your practice.
The course is jointly sponsored by the Colorado Foundation for Medical Care and Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and available for AAFP, CNE, CME, and ACPE credit.
