The IRS released a proposed rule in the June 25th Federal Register for tax exempt hospitals. Specifically, these rules provide guidance on the ACA mandated requirements for hospital financial assistance and emergency care policies, charges for care provided to individuals eligible for financial assistance, and billing/collection policies.
