Understanding CREATE Participant Eligibility
Are you eligible?
When deciding whether applying for CREATE is appropriate for
your entity, one thing to consider is whether your employees are eligible for
CREATE funding.
As stated in the CREATE guidelines, CREATE funding may only
be used for eligible participants who provide any level of EMS or trauma services as a primary part of their job or volunteerism within Colorado. “Primary
part” is defined as an employee who spends the majority (51%) of hours providing
EMS or trauma services while working/volunteering at an entity.
With this in mind, some non-eligible positions include, but
not limited to:
Acute Care Nurse
Administrative Staff
PACU Nurse
Staff Coordinator
Medical Floor Nurse
Quality Care Director
Quality Care Nurse
Perioperative RN
Respiratory Therapist
Cardio Pulmonary Services Assistant
Quality Improvement Nurse
