CMS reminds health care professionals that Medicare provides coverage for a variety of preventive services. Medicare patients can lead longer, fuller and healthier lives by taking advantage of the following covered preventive services:

• Abdominal aortic aneurysm screening
• Adult immunizations
• Bone mass measurements
• Cancer screenings
• Cardiovascular screenings
• Diabetes-related services and screening
• Glaucoma screenings
• Smoking and tobacco-use cessation counseling
• Initial Preventive Physical Examination (IPPE)
