CMS Delays Clinical Diagnostic Laboratory Test Requirement

CMS has announced that it will delay for 90 days the implementation of a requirement, made as part of its most recent Physician Fee Schedule final rule, that a physician's or qualified non-physician practitioner's (NPP) signature must be included on requisitions for clinical diagnostic laboratory tests paid under the clinical laboratory fee schedule effective January 1, 2011.
