RFP – Addressing Healthcare Surge in Rural Settings

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Healthcare Preparedness Activity has released a Request for Participation (RFP) engage public health, healthcare and emergency managers from a rural community to participate in a workshop to develop an integrated plan to deal with a surge in patients during an influenza pandemic or other public health emergency in a rural area. The intent is to conduct the workshop in the summer of 2013. Please note that the deadline to notify the Oak Ridge Institute of Science and Education (ORISE) of a community's intent to apply is December 21. This intent to apply may be fulfilled via email or fax to the ORISE contacts listed in the RFP. The deadline to submit the full application to ORISE is January 15, 2013.
