The Department of Veteran's Affairs (VA) has just released the interim final rule on the Expanded Access to Non-VA Care through the Veterans Choice Program. These are the interim implementing regulations for the Veterans Access, Choice, and Accountability Act of 2014 passed by Congress earlier this year. This rule sets out the methods by which veterans can access care outside of the established VA system, for example, rural veterans.
