New DORA Requirement

The Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) for Colorado is requiring that surgical assistants, surgical technologists and operating room scrub technicians be registered with DORA to practice on or after April 1, 2011. For more information about this new requirement and to begin the application process, please reference DORA’s website: http://www.dora.state.co.us/Registrations/. If you are currently licensed as another healthcare professional (i.e. RN, APN, PA), you may not need to apply for this registration, as your current license may cover this scope of practice.
