Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act Provisions Impacting Institutional Providers (PPACA)

CMS is working to expeditiously implement these important provisions of PPACA. Providers will begin seeing payments under these provisions in the late April/early May time frame. Hospitals should be on the alert for more information about these provisions and their impact on past and future claims, and for more information pertaining to the PPACA. The 3401 sections of the PPACA are effective April 1, 2010, while Section 3137(a) has October 1, 2009, and April 1, 2010, effective dates. For more information, click here.
