Physician Signature Guidelines (Change Request 6698) WBT

Since Medicare contractors and other safeguard programs are tasked with measuring, detecting and correcting improper payments in the fee-for-service Medicare program, documentation and physicians’ signatures are more important than ever. This Change Request (CR) updates information regarding physicians’ signatures and legible identifiers in the form of a handwritten or electronic signature, and adds e-prescribing language as it pertains to signatures.  For more information, click here.
